NGC Special Labels and Designations for the 2022-P American Liberty Silver Medal

On August 18, 2022, the US Mint is releasing the 2022-P American Liberty Silver Medal, which celebrates the nation's freedom. Struck at the Philadelphia Mint, the Proof silver medal has a product limit of only 75,000 and serves as a companion to the 2021-W American Liberty High Relief Gold Proof Coin.
To complement the certified medals, Numismatic Guaranty Company™ (NGC®) is offering a selection of special labels, including the American Liberty Flag label and the ever-popular NGC Early Releases and First Releases labels. For show submissions of these medals, click here.

The obverse portrays a bucking bronco casting off a saddle, symbolizing the dawn of American independence. It was designed by Beth Zaiken, an artist in the Artistic Infusion Program (AIP), who signs certification labels exclusively for NGC. The 2022-P American Liberty Silver Medals encapsulated with the NGC Beth Zaiken Signature Label will be available through select retailers. Learn more about the NGC Signature Series here.
The coin’s reverse features a close-up profile of a bald eagle, designed by Richard Masters and sculpted by Phebe Hemphill.
Submission Instructions
- Submit medals under the Modern grading tier or higher.
- Medals do not need to be submitted in the US Mint packaging.

Bulk submissions
NGC’s First Day of Issue designation and labels are available for select bulk submissions only. To qualify for First Day of Issue, medals must be purchased within one day of the first day that a mint makes a new medal issue available for sale and must be received by NGC or an NGC-approved depository within one week of the release date. NGC will require that the submitter provide adequate evidence (including purchase receipts) to demonstrate the date when the medals were purchased.
