NGC Signs Exclusive Signature Label Deal with Stephen J. Fuller, Coin Designer

Stephen J. Fuller, a renowned artist and coin designer, has agreed to individually hand-sign certification labels exclusively for Numismatic Guaranty Company® (NGC®). Fuller is known for his work with New Zealand Post Collectables, Downies in Australia and other design agencies across New Zealand.

The King Charles III Coronation series designed by Fuller consists of six coins featuring the King to celebrate his coronation on May 6, 2023. The coins feature a striking effigy of King Charles III, which was also designed by Fuller. The effigy is slated to be used on future commemorative coins.

When presented with the effigy design, King Charles III himself gave Fuller’s work his personal approval.

A highly experienced painter, illustrator and creator, Fuller has created several numismatic designs for agencies across New Zealand, which include:

When asked about the King Charles III Coronation coins, Fuller said, "It's not every day you get to put your initials next to a King's effigy."

In addition to his extensive work on coins, Fuller has worked on 22 intricate stamp issues for New Zealand Post. He has also built a global following for his work in the style of the Art Deco epoch, and his illustrations have been recognized and awarded, both in New Zealand and overseas.
