Andrew Adamo began his coin collecting journey as a young boy. He was given a Silver Eagle as a birthday gift at 5 years old, and his passion for the hobby followed almost immediately. He collected coins alongside his older brother Nicholas. Once his younger brother John grew old enough, Andrew got him collecting as well.

Andrew was born and raised in a New York suburb along with his four siblings. He and his brothers were lifelong collectors who went to local coin shops and local coin shows to build their collections. Andrew used to love it when a friend would tell him something along the lines of “my grandfather collects coins, do you want to come look at his collection?”

Collecting coins in itself wasn’t enough for Andrew and, in 2014, at the age of 17, he founded Bullion Shark along with his brother Nicholas. Today, Bullion Shark has become one of the fastest-growing and most-respected names in numismatics.

It took time, especially due to his young age, but Andrew built a name for himself in the industry. He is now an NGC Authorized Dealer, a US Mint Bulk Dealer, a member of the Professional Numismatists Guild, member of the American Numismatic Association and was named one of the Top 100 Most Influential People in Numismatics by Coin World Magazine.

In 2023, he was invited to the US Mint for a roundtable where he contributed ideas to Mint officials. He attributes his success to keeping his word and putting the client first.

He is regarded as one of the most knowledgeable experts on modern coins such as the American Silver Eagle, American Gold Eagle, American Gold Buffalo, American Palladium Eagle and American Platinum Eagle. His knowledge in this field has come from countless hours of research and from trading over nine figures of coins in his lifetime.

In his free time, Andrew enjoys golf, spending time with his family and, of course, building his own coin collection.
