As with many modern commemorative issues, this 1991 S USO Silver Dollar Commemorative had developed an unsightly haze on its surfaces. This haze can be detrimental in the long term but in the short term, at least where grading and certification is concerned, such hazing will dictate a lower grade. This numismatist took advantage of the modern special rate offered by NCS and had the haze removed from the surface of the coin prior to grading for a special rate. This coin was able to grade very well with NGC after conservation.
