Numismatic Guaranty Corporation™ (NGC®) and its China submission center, Guangzhou National Standard Numismatic Grading Company, attended the Beijing International Coin Expo held on November 2-4 at the China World Trade Center in Beijing, China. Numismatic Conservation Services™ (NCS®), and Paper Money Guaranty™ (PMG®) were also represented at the show. NGC, NCS and PMG are members of the Certified Collectibles Group™ (CCG®).
NGC was also grading on-site prior to the show and conducted an educational numismatic seminar for attendees during the event.
The market for certified coins and currency in China continues to grow. Collectors and dealers have shown a strong preference for NGC and PMG grading. At the show, more than 90% of the certified coins were graded by NGC. More than 500,000 Chinese coins have been graded by NGC and PMG has graded more than 50,000 Chinese notes. NGC, NCS and PMG now have official submission centers in South Korea, China, Taiwan, Province of China and Singapore.
“We continue to be honored by the outstanding support we receive from collectors and dealers in China and throughout Asia,” says Steven R. Eichenbaum, CEO of the Certified Collectibles Group. “With their help we will continue to provide accurate, consistent and independent grading to the Chinese market.”
