NGC Special ANA Designations for 2017-S Enhanced Uncirculated Set

The US Mint has announced that it will release a limited-edition 10-coin 225th Anniversary Enhanced Uncirculated Coin Set on August 1 in conjunction with the ANA World's Fair of Money in Denver. The 2017-dated set will include five different America the Beautiful Quarters, one Native American $1 coin, one Kennedy half dollar, one Roosevelt dime, one Jefferson nickel and one Lincoln cent. Each coin will feature an "S" mint mark signifying that they were struck at the San Francisco Mint.

A maximum of just 225,000 sets will be sold, a number chosen to mark the US Mint's 225th Anniversary this year.

To celebrate the release of this set at the ANA show, NGC will offer a special DENVER ANA RELEASES designation for coins purchased at the ANA World's Fair of Money and submitted to NGC at the same show. Coins purchased and submitted on the first day of sales (August 1) will be eligible for the prestigious FIRST DAY-ANA designation. Coins with these special designations will be listed separately in the NGC Census.

In addition, submitters may request NGC's officially licensed ANA logo certification label.

To receive the special DENVER ANA RELEASES or FIRST DAY-ANA designations for qualifying submissions, the special submission instructions below must be followed.

NGC will also offer a separate "Denver ANA 2017" pedigree for qualifying coins. Scroll below for more details.

Submission Instructions for DENVER ANA RELEASES and FIRST DAY-ANA

• The FIRST DAY-ANA designation will be available only for 2017-S Enhanced Uncirculated Coin Sets purchased at the US Mint booth at the ANA World's Fair of Money on August 1 and submitted to NGC at the same show on August 1. This will be the default designation for all ANA submissions on August 1.


• The DENVER ANA RELEASES designation will be available for all other 2017-S Enhanced Uncirculated Coin Sets purchased at the US Mint booth at the ANA World’s Fair of Money in August and submitted to NGC at that show. This will be the default designation for all ANA submissions August 2-5.


• The original US Mint purchase receipt must accompany the coins for either of these special designations.


• Select the Modern grading tier or higher and write either "FIRST DAY-ANA" or "DENVER ANA RELEASES", whichever applicable, in bold letters on the NGC Submission Form. There is an additional $10 fee for either designation.


• The NGC ANA Officially Licensed Label (shown below) will be the default label for all FIRST DAY-ANA and DENVER ANA RELEASES submissions. There is an additional $5 fee for this label.



• If you would prefer the NGC Standard Brown label (shown below), request "NGC Standard Brown #377".



• There is no minimum submission requirement, but please note that coins submitted for the FIRST DAY-ANA and DENVER ANA RELEASES designations will be sent by NGC from the show to NGC's headquarters for grading and then shipped back to the submitter. These designations are not available for on-site grading submissions.


• NGC will also be accepting submissions for the EARLY RELEASES and FIRST RELEASES designations and labels. See cutoff dates >


• If you would like the Mint packaging returned, select “Return Mint Packaging” in section 3 of the NGC submission form.

Denver ANA 2017 Pedigree Submission Instructions

• NGC will offer a "Denver ANA 2017" pedigree for US and world modern (1955-date) coins submitted to NGC at the ANA World's Fair of Money in Denver.


• Coins do not need to be purchased at the US Mint booth to receive the Denver ANA 2017 pedigree but they must be submitted to NGC at the ANA show. (See the section above for DENVER ANA RELEASES and FIRST-DAY ANA submission instructions.)


• Select an applicable grading tier and write "Denver ANA 2017 Pedigree" in bold letters on the NGC Submission Form. There is an additional $5 fee for this pedigree.


• The NGC ANA Officially Licensed Label (shown below) will be the default label for all "Denver ANA 2017" pedigree submissions. There is an additional $5 fee for this label.
  
  
  
• If you would prefer the NGC Standard Brown label (shown below), request "NGC Standard Brown #377".

• Remove the coins from the US Mint packaging, if possible, and submit them raw in capsules or flips. Do not include the Mint packaging.


• If you would like the Mint packaging returned, select “Return Mint Packaging” in section 3 of the NGC submission form.
