NGC-certified Ancient & World Coins Highlight January Heritage Sale

Numerous NGC-certified ancient and world coins highlight a Heritage Auctions sale that will be held January 6-7, 2019, in conjunction with the New York International Numismatic Convention (NYINC).
Among the exceptional coins is a 2,500-year old tetradrachm from the city of Eretria in Greece. Graded NGC Ancients VF★ 5/5 Strike - 4/5 Surface, it is expected to sell for $200,000 to $300,000.

- Lot 34053 — Lydian Kingdom, Croesus, AV stater (561-546 BC), graded NGC Ancients Gem MS ★ 5/5 Strike - 5/5 Surface. Estimate: $100,000 to $150,000.
- Lot 34264 — Great Britain, 1887 Victoria Gold Proof Pattern Crown, graded NGC PF 65 Ultra Cameo. Estimate: $100,000 to $150,000.
- Lot 34233 — Great Britain, 1817 Three Graces Pattern Silver Crown, graded NGC PF 64+ Cameo. Estimate: $50,000 to $80,000.
- Lot 34324 — Netherlands East Indies, 1728 Proof Pattern Gold Ducaton, graded NGC PF 64. Estimate: $80,000 to $100,000.
- Lot 32229 – Roman Aureus, Probus, (AD 276-282), graded NGC Ancients MS ★ 5/5 Strike - 4/5 Surface, Fine Style. Estimate: $60,000 to $80,000.
- Lot 32176 – Roman Empire, Elagabalus (AD 218-222), Gold Aureus, graded NGC Ancients AU ★ 5/5 Strike - 4/5 Surface, Fine Style. Estimate: $20,000 to $30,000.
- Lot 32241 — Roman Empire, Maximian, AD 286-310, AV Aureus (5.28g), graded NGC Ancients MS 5/5 Strike - 4/5 Surface Fine Style. Estimate: $30,000 to $50,000.
- Lot 32228 — Roman Empire, Probus, AD 276-282, AV Aurreus (5.97g), graded NGC Ancients MS ★ 5/5 Strike - 4/5 Surface Fine Style. Estimate: $30,000 to $50,000.

- Lot 32170 — Roman empire, Geta, AD 209-211, AV Aureus (7.47g), graded NGC Choice XF 5/5 Strike - 3/5 Surface. Estimate: $20,000 to $40,000.
- Lot 32071 — Roman Empire, Titus, AD 79-81., AE Sestertius (26.13g), graded NGC Ancients Choice Fine 4/5 Strike - 3/5 Surface. Estimate: $20,000 to $30,000.
