Posted on 5/16/2019
Numismatic Guaranty Corporation® (NGC®) has announced significant updates to its NGC mobile app, which is available to download for free from the App Store and Google Play.
The upgraded NGC app now incorporates the NGC Registry, a powerful online platform where collectors register and display their NGC-certified coins and compete against other collectors around the world for recognition and prizes. This year, the NGC Registry will award more than $20,000 worth of prizes to the top sets.
The NGC Registry also helps collectors to organize their collection, learn more about coins and interact with fellow collectors. This popular resource now boasts more than 12,000 members, 110,000 registered sets and 1.1. million registered coins from virtually every country.

Collectors can look up their coins in the Verify NGC Certification feature of the NGC app and seamlessly add them to their inventory and NGC Registry sets. In another major upgrade, the NGC app has improved its NGC certification label barcode scanning capabilities, enabling users to more quickly find and add NGC-certified coins.
Images for around 20 million NGC-certified coins can be viewed in Verify NGC Certification. All of these images can be added for free to NGC Registry sets when an NGC-certified coin is registered.
The NGC app retains all of the valuable features of its previous versions including the NGC Census, which helps collectors to research the relative rarity of NGC-certified coins by type and grade. Collectors can also access the latest NGC news and research from the NGC app and subscribe to notifications to be among the first to know about NGC announcements.
The NGC app is optimized for iPhones, iPads and Android devices and is available in English, Chinese and German. To learn more about the NGC app and to download it for free, visit NGCcoin.com/app.
