Wide Range of NGC-certified World Coins Highlight Heritage Sale in August

Heritage Auctions is offering a broad selection of NGC-certified world coins in its World Coins & Ancient Coins Platinum Night Auction. Bidding is now open for the sale, which ends August 5, 2020.
Among the most anticipated coins in the sale is an Italy 1755 Gold 5 Doppie graded NGC AU 58. This coin features Charles Emmanuel III, the Duke of Savoy and King of Sardinia, who ruled from 1730 to 1773. During his reign from his base in northwest Italy, the Mediterranean island of Sardinia — formerly a Spanish possession — became thoroughly Italianized.
Only two of these coins have been certified by NGC and this is the finer example. It has an estimate of $60,000 to $70,000 USD.
Another highlight of the sale is a 1835.(C) India 2 Mohurs Restrike graded NGC PF 66★. With only two examples graded higher in the NGC Census, this rare coin has an estimate of $50,000 to $70,000 USD.

- a Spain 1636 R 50 Reales graded NGC AU 53, with an estimate of $40,000 to $60,000 USD
- a England 1656 Broad graded NGC MS 62, with an estimate of $40,000 to $60,000 USD
- a British India 1835.(C) Gold 2 Mohurs graded NGC AU 50, with an estimate of $40,000 to $50,000 USD
- a Spanish Netherlands 1694 Gold 8 Souverain d'Or graded NGC AU 55, with an estimate of $40,000 to $50,000 USD
- a Italy 1878 Death of Vittorio Emanuele II Silver Medal graded NGC MS 61 and Italy 1878 Death of Vittorio Emanuele II Gold Medal graded NGC MS 63 PL (two-piece set), with an estimate of $40,000 to $50,000 USD
- a Great Britain 1826 Gold 5 Pounds graded NGC PF 62, with an estimate of $30,000 to $50,000 USD
- a Bohemia 1635 Gold 10 Ducat graded NGC MS 62, with an estimate of $25,000 to $35,000 USD
- a Russia 1831CNB Platinum 12 Roubles graded NGC AU 55, with an estimate of $25,000 to $35,000 USD
- a Italy 1906-dated Gold 20 Lire Prova graded NGC PF 66 Cameo, with an estimate of $25,000 to $30,000 USD
- a Mexico 1732MO F 8 Reales graded NGC MS 61, with an estimate of $20,000 to $30,000 USD
- a Russia 1757CNB Gold 10 Roubles graded NGC MS 62, with an estimate of $20,000 to $30,000 USD
- a Great Britain 1820 Gold 2 Pounds Pattern graded NGC PF 60 Ultra Cameo, with an estimate of $15,000 to $25,000 USD
