NGC-Certified Coins Featured in Harmers of London’s Premiere Numismatic Sale with Aste Bolaffi

Posted on 9/16/2020

Their first-ever numismatics sale is offering rare NGC-certified ancient and world coins.

High-grade coins certified by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation® (NGC®) will be featured in Harmers of London’s September sale. This will be their first-ever numismatics auction since they were purchased by Aste Bolaffi in 2018, Italy’s leading numismatic auction house. They are offering a spectacular selection of ancient to modern coins, many of which are NGC-certified. Online bidding is now available until September 25, 2020.

Since its founding in 1918, Harmers of London has been the leading philatelic auction house in the UK. The Aste Bolaffi auction house will continue to grow Harmer of London’s historic brand by expanding their leading collectible auctions to numismatics.

One of the finest coins in the auction is an NGC-certified Great Britain 1826 5 Sovereign graded NGC PF 61 Cameo, with an estimate of £25,000 to £35,000 (about $32,000 to $45,000 USD). The gold coin features the bold bust of George IV, who was king of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from 1820-1830. It is estimated that only 150 were minted, making it especially rare.
